Bio

Desiree is a visual artist living in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.

Predominately working in the medium of printmaking, Desiree loves to learn and expand her skills within both contemporary and traditional methods of printmaking. She is skilled in etching, aquatint, mezzotint, screen printing and relief printmaking, including her current expansion into Mokuhanga: Japanese woodblock printmaking.

Currently her work is influenced by form, both natural and unnatural, and the thin divide between the two. She is drawn to images that are both otherworldly and yet rooted in our current surroundings.

Desiree has shown her work both locally and internationally.
