Mokuhanga
Mokuhanga is a traditional Japanese printmaking technique that dates back to the Edo period of 1603-1867. A non-toxic process, it uses carved woodblocks that are inked using brushes to apply water-based inks. Paper is then pressed onto its surface using a baren. This process is repeated with each block to apply a different colour.
